Club Projects

Soroptimist's Live Your Dream Awards program is a unique education grant for women who provide the primary financial support for their families. Live Your Dream Awards give women the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. Our club chapter provides a $1000.00 scholarship to a woman who has met criteria of the scholarship application and is selected by a series of judges that serve as Soroptimist members. In this project we partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters.  We meet quarterly and discuss a variety of topics including interview skills, confidence/self-esteem, relaxation techniques, "how to get hired" workshops, and more! • Annual Lollar Scholarship – awarded to a local high school graduate pursuing post-secondary education.
   
• Dream It, Be It Program – held at the local Transitional Living Home for Girls, empowering young women to reach their goals.
   
• Community Involvement – active participation in local craft fairs and public opportunities to raise funds and awareness for our programs.
